    How to Simple Screenshot On Mac



    Screenshot or recording pictures of activities on the screen is one of the basic features of using a computer.

    This feature is usually used to show a part that you want to explain to other users or maybe a display that you cannot save in the normal way.

    How to take screen shots on a Mac



    1. To take screen shots, press and hold the Shift, Command, and 3 keys together. 
    2. If you see a thumbnail in the corner of the screen, click to edit the screenshot. Or wait for the screen capture to be saved on the desktop.


    How to take a picture of a part of the screen




    1. Press and hold the Shift, Command, and 4 keys simultaneously.
    2. Drag the viewfinder to select a picture of the screen area to be taken. To move the selected area, press and hold the Space bar while dragging it. To cancel taking screen shots, press the Esc (Escape) key.
    3. To take a screen shot, release the mouse button or trackpad. 
    4. If you see a thumbnail in the corner of the screen, click to edit the screenshot. Or wait for the screen capture to be saved on the desktop.


    How to find screen shots

    By default, screen shots will be saved on the desktop with the name "Screen Shot [date] at [time] .png".

    On macOS Mojave or later, you can change the default location for screen shots saved from the Options menu in the Screen Snap app . You can also drag thumbnails to folders or documents.

    • On MacOS Mojave or newer versions, you can also set a timer and choose where to save screen shots with the Screen Snap app. To open the app, press and hold the Shift, Command, and 5 keys simultaneously. Learn more about the Screen Snap app .
    • Certain apps, like the Apple TV app, might not allow you to take screen shots.
    • To copy screen shots to the Clipboard, press and hold the Control key while taking screen shots. After that, you can paste the screen shots elsewhere. Or use the Universal Clipboard to paste it on another Apple device.
